Capital Ale FC battles to a 1-1 draw against Kuba Kuba April 3, 2007 In a tough match with several heated discussions after the whistle, Capital Ale FC (0-3-1) earned one point in a 1-1 draw against Kuba Kuba (2-0-2). The game featured 4 yellow cards, 3 for the Alers, in a very heated match. The Alers controlled the tempo in the first half and survived a Kuba Kuba attack in the second half to secure the draw. The only goal was scored by Mark Steele, early in the second half, with an assist by Stanton Leddy. The score was shortly after Kuba Kuba took a 1-0 lead. The rest of the game was a back and forth game with each team attempting to break the tie. Overall, a good showing against a team that included several former first and premier division players.
